I picked up my dad's camera when I was in middle school. At that time America's Next Top Model was my go to show. My sister and I would come up with photoshoot "themes", dress up and I would take her picture. I feel in love with capturing a story or an emotion. I continued to grow by shooting beautiful scenery when my family would travel. I stepped up my game when family and friends begin trusting me to capture their senior pictures. During this time I began to explore the elements of editing with whatever free program was on my computer. I continued shooting friends and family through out high school and eventually in college was able to second shoot for a local wedding photographer, Jennifer Kingsbury. She was incredibly patient with me and gave me so much hands-on learning experience. She also took the time to sit and teach me some basics of Lightroom and Photoshop. After I graduated, I focused on my career teaching elementary school. I let photography kind of slip away until the time when I believe God was calling me away from teaching and towards photography. My teacher friends began letting me capture pictures of their families and in May of 2019 I left teaching with the prayer for God to use this "hobby" and turn it into something that could financially contribute to my family while I focused on raising my children. Now 3 kids later, I am still able to stay home and God has definitely answered that prayer.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two girls and a boy. We love being outside playing, swimming, hiking, or just enjoying the sunshine. Family is one of my top priorities so I know how important it is to capture yours!
